Caring for Wool Felt Art

Stevie's handmade wool felt art pieces are crafted with care and designed to be enjoyed for years to come. Proper care will help preserve the beauty and integrity of your artwork.

Daily Care

Handle your wool art gently to maintain its shape and texture. Avoid pulling or stretching the wool fibers, and support the piece properly when moving or displaying it.

Dust can be gently removed with a soft, clean brush. For spot cleaning, use a barely damp cloth and allow to air dry completely. Never submerge wool art in water or use harsh cleaning chemicals.

Safety

Place out of the reach of children and pets. Small components may pose choking hazards, and wool fibers can be damaged by rough handling.

Storage & Preservation

Store your wool art in a cool, dry environment with stable conditions. Ideal conditions are 60-70°F (15-21°C) with 45-55% relative humidity. Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade colors over time, and keep away from heat sources like radiators or vents.

Moth Prevention: Moths are attracted to wool and will damage it, so proper storage is essential. Cedar wood, lavender sachets, or other natural deterrents can help protect your piece. Check on stored pieces periodically and refresh natural deterrents as needed.

For long-term storage, wrap the piece in acid-free tissue paper and store flat in a breathable container or archival box. Avoid plastic bags which can trap moisture and promote mold growth.

Seasonal Care: In humid summer months, ensure good air circulation around displayed pieces. During dry winter heating season, monitor for static buildup.
